i only have a quick minute

i know i've been gone for weeks. my bad. had some "bin-ess" to handle. work/school business that is. why must i have to grow up sooner than everyone else my age? or moreso, my own friends? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! on the outside, i'm calm. but inside, you guys have no idea there's like little robots working overtime.

leemmmmmeee tell yeewwww! the highlights of what has happened.

oct. 19th: the usual carpool day with sister. i got dropped off first but we used my car. at lunch time i needed my car so she picked me up at lunchtime and i was going to drop her back off at her work. before i did that we decided to get taco bell and starbucks which is down the street from her work. after starbucks we got back into the car and my car didn't start. FUUUUUUUUCK. yes, wonderful! isn't it? made a few calls and had some friends from long beach drive down to santa ana to give us a jump with my battery. luckily, some strangers tried to help out too. UNfortunately, that didn't help at all. but i'm still grateful for my buddies and those nice guys with a sweet M3 who helped out. mind you, all of this started around 12:30. after the whole battery saving attempt only to find out that it wasn't the battery at all... the strangers left and my buddies from long beach had to go to prior engagements. Thank God for brother and auntie who have AAA. Brother called AAA around 4ish to tow my car and we waited until 5:30ish when a tow truck came. Tow truck dude then turned on my car. AND WHAT THE FUCK?! It started up. He left since there was no use of him anymore and drove merrily away. as we got back into the car and started to reverse... guess what? it DIED.Brother had to call AAA again and we waited a few minutes to just tow my car. Second tow truck dude was pretty cool about it. Towed it to Signal Hill Nissan. Luckily, my friend works as a technician and he was waiting for my car to get towed in even though he was already clocked out at 4:30pm. WHEW! I left my car there overnight and I missed out on a birthday bash in downtown fullerton (sorry ivan).

Oct. 20: I stayed in all morning. Well, for the most part. Went to chill for a little bit and play with my friend's nephews. Got dropped off at the dealership around 4ish to pick up my car. THANK GOD for giving me friends who can fix cars. At night, I went to a birthday dinner at P.F. Chang's. Mmmm! And headed on over to Mai Tai's. Met up with the fullerton girls there and EB. Introduced them to "x rated". ah HAA. and called it a night.

work work work work work. if any of you have been asking where i've been (which i'm pretty sure that nobody has been asking), i've been at work. 40 hours a fuckin' week plus school on tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays. my next free weekend meaning... friday/saturday is nov.16/17. i have to pencil in my schedule... i don't want to grow up... i'm definitely not a toys r us kid anymore.

Keepin' Busy

Recap:
last friday... sat two hours in traffic while heading to moreno valley to meet with anybody and everybody at BJ's. THANKS to those who came. My two pitchers were great. just great. hit the spot from a crazy few weeks of sighs and omg's. went to older sister's house in murrieta. and I swear foe Gah, the nightsky was beautiful. that will definitely be my spot for lEMOnade.

saturday... woke up a bit late to get ready for a wedding at 11am with sister erica. totally missed the ceremony, but we were right on time with the reception. by noon, had a drink. the cake was definitely creative. each layer were cupcakes with gerber daisies surrounding them. fyi: gerber daisies are my favorite. Congrats Mike&Nikka. trespassed old property and picked up a few goods. headed back to the Beach and chilled with a few friends. Ate at a fish grill in Gardena. pretty good... like food coma-good. thanks guys! afterwards, watched a movie based on the true story of Buddy Holly. a good flick, check it out.

today... i kicked it at my dad's house in city of industry. got there at 10am. had breakfast with auntie (his wifey), dad, and little big brother junior (or U-nior). =) little brother and i watched Dr.DoLittle 3 and laughed at the corny jokes that only play on ABC family. all the while, dad and auntie benita were in the kitchen cooking for lunch. two hours later they made me and little brother eat again. fooood coma. geez, but hey... i was grateful because it's not often that there's food at the ready. my dad insisted that i pick some persimmons and lime from their backyard in which i did. it kind of reminded me of cherry picking in banning. anyways... around one-pm, i went to drop off my car at costco to whip on some new BF goodrich tires. went back to the house to wait for my car to be ready. watched a quarter of Jet Li's Fearless and then picked up my car and headed back to the Beach. Tired as I was from having a long day so far, Cousin Daniel calls me to go hit some golfballs and pick up some starbucks. Perfect timing, because I was just thinking about going to the driving range but didn't quite want to go by myself. And, I had picked up my old clubs from the MV house just for moments like these. went to the driving range and chilled at the top deck/level. used my 7 iron mostly. but cousin's 3 driver. =) thanks to gent/jason/ivan i picked up hitting some balls at the driving range about a year or so ago.

<-- this picture was taken about a year and a half ago at the golf club in corona/norco, right off the 15 freeway.

Whenever I feel lonely, I try to keep busy. I can't help it. I need a hobby. I miss drawing/sketching. And a funny tiny thought came up when my dad asked me to draw me and him when I get the chance. I thought to myself "damn, i haven't done that in a while". cute thought, coming from father. but it was bigger than that, i miss finding the time to put into a therapeutic hobby. if that makes sense whatsoever. hitting balls at the driving range is one of them. hitting up the bowling alley. shooting around. sketching in my black sketch book. walking/jogging at the park. just as long as i'm not sitting still unless it's night time. I just can't handle sitting still sometimes. it gives my mind time to think of the crazy/sad thoughts that go through my head and contributes to me having my emo moments. and as much as i shouldn't be thinking these thoughts all at once and as much, it's inevitable. I can do this; I can handle it. At least that's what I keep telling myself. It gets me through the day. And, that's just the way it is.

gotcha!

some good ol' cheering up

yesterday i was feeling emo. yes, i said it, emo. i actually missed mo val. hanging out with the guys or not hanging out with the guys but knowing that i can hang out with them because they're usually down to chill.... even if hanging out at someone's house seemed lame, but nonetheless... if we're going to be bored, we'll be bored together. i just miss that. a lot. maybe i'm just waiting for my crimson waves to hit the shore, but it doesn't ignore the fact that i still missed friends.. from mo val, fullerton, or anywhere else. i actually teared up talking to some friends over the phone. whatta bitch huh? ok ok that's just me trying to deny that i ever get emotional.

well i'm done with midterms for now. but i still have some homework to get to. i get paid this wednesday, but it won't be the fatty check i'm expecting until november. getting paid once a month sucks ass. especially, not knowing that before i took the job. good ol' homecooking and staying home with mom is taking a turn on me. i love it. cause in the end, mom and sister are all i have at the end of the day. they brighten up my day. i've been carpooling with sister which makes my mornings and afternoons that much happier. cause if you haven't already known, she's just about the best cheering up Queen I have ever met. Being home makes my mom happy too. Although I hope my mom meets some great guy to spend the rest of her life with, she's happy to see her daughters as often as she does or has lately. And, I'm glad I contribute to that.

Last night, I watched the Pacquiao fight versus Barrera. kinda boring. But hey, can't expect too much from these fights. They're getting paid, so it doesn't really matter. After the fight, we headed to some girl's party in Lakewood. And GOT DAMN, nice house. it looked like a She's All That backyard and i was just waiting for the "kiss me" song to play. A band called 710 played there. They're actually dope, if you're into the reggae/rock type of music. Some friends are friends of the group; hence why sister and i went. Pretty chill party considering it's in Lakewood and I expected it to end reallll early. Because parties out here don't last as long as parties in MoVal, ya diiiig? (word to Mr.Next Shit). It was a pretty chill party. Not all filipinos, thank God. there were sistas, white chicks, and latinas. And it was NOT a sausage fest. =) (no lesbo). anyways, time to finish up homework and lounge around with moms. and get my study on later. and, that's just the way it is...

what a day...

so today at work I went to Think.MTV.org or .com whatever. I became a member a week ago because I like the political insight here and there.

Kanye is doing this thing called EDin08 which is some type of movement to keep kids from dropping out of school because in 'recent studies'...Latinos and African Americans have been dropping out of school and it is vital that our youth continue on with their education...

It's great how kanye is doing this thing about keeping kids in school to get their education on because it's REALLY important... yet, he dropped out of college. higher education is optional, i agree. but it is somewhat the same concept with sticking with an education and pursuing the lasting reward in the end. i'm not necessarily trying to put a downer on Mr.West; however, youth might try to use this against staying in school and keep debating whether an education is worth more than the "get rich quick" scheme. so, hmm... let it marinate. i still got love for you ye.

Also, there's a group that's asking politicians around the U.S. why Election Day is on a Tuesday...Versus having it "conveniently" on a weekend where more citizens are able to vote.

I SAY... that's why we have Absentee Ballots, people... stop complaining. If you think voting is that IMPORTANT, then you would find ways to vote by any means necessary. thank youuuuu!

RECAP of my day: Carpooled with sister. which is convenient because it beats sitting in nasty 405 south traffic for about an hour and then some after work as well. good times too. i woke up feeling good, feeling great. had a weird dream that i was somehow in a black gang/mafia and lil jon was a part of it too. i only saw him with some girl that happened to be his daughter (but perhaps some hoe). he had a black duffle bag (word to brutha) and he was collecting money before he had to bounce out of town. then i just remember running and jumping a chain-linked fence like a mexican (sorry that's probably stereotypical to say) but i was all pro flipping over that fence like it was NOTHIN'! realhoodshit right there (word to terbear). this is funny because lately i've been getting most of my phrases from my ... what do i call you guys?... well in girly terms, "besties". hahaha you guys know who you are; there's no other words to describe you guys. ok quick tear and fanning it off.

ooook. i was in the office today, doing the usual... preparing for a leadership trainings, checking email, checking my schedule for the week, surfing the net, texting on my cellular (because for those of you who don't know what i do.. let's just say i do Youth Development work from 4th-12th grade) and so on and so forth. after work, my sister and i go through some jokes (thanks to our future firefighting friend, you know who you are). then we head out to hollywood to meet up with brother and ivan. t-mobile launch party for a new phone called Shadow (google it). valet was $20 that we DIDN'T have (thanks ivan for spotting us). buuut... Skybar was OPEN BAR. holllllerrrr. anyways, they were raffling out 20 phones or so and an Xbox 360. unfortunately, i didn't win shit but took home as many gym bags as i can get. luckily, erica and ivan won free phones. jerks. haha. good for them, i know. i would have to say that was the bouchois-est party i've been to. and it got me thinking, that's the type of shit i'm gonna be doing some time in my career with the whole marketing/advertising deal. good to know people. networking is key. and, my friends, that's just the way it is...

good night. good morning. and good afternoon!

Shout out to Mr.Next Shit and Super Trooper. (hahaha. shout out. who does those?! in a blog too!? stupid...)
