the first quarter of the year

it's april? no, seriously it's april? dude, it's APRIL! and boy, i've looked back on these past few months and it's been pretty interesting. funny how time flies. we seem to not have enough time for a lot of things yet we always say "we have all the time in the world". but i guess it depends on what you're talking about. from school to relationships and work to what lies in the future. i had an awesome saturday. i say awesome because i can't really think of another word to describe it. and, i probably could look another word up in a thesaurus but i'd rather save me that extra time.

i've been sick. stuffy nose. dry throat. ahhh! but you know, a lot of things were going on on Saturday, April 12th. I went to Creme de la Creme at the standard in downtown la. felt pretty darn bouchois or very "l.a.". in the words of mal "steezy steezy steezy". i'd want to throw my birthday party there, right in the 'cut' of downtown los angeles on the rooftop of the standard hotel. saturday was a beautiful day to be in southern california. juuuust beautiful. after the standard, we headed over to usc to watch de la soul and lupe perform for FREE. although we all spent money on parking, drinking, and eating... i would have to say saturday was mighty cheap to be hanging out in l.a. i enjoyed it even though i was sneezing, sniffling, and had a raspy voice.
